For most of this semester, I have been fighting against meditation. During every class meditation, my legs would go numb, I would have migrains, I even managed to have a few cascade effect experiences. Two weeks ago, after a particularly terrifying meditation, I went to John. Since the begining of the year, I had been using my computer bag as a cushion. It is the right height with a book or two inside and I had to bring it with me anyway. I never even noticed that the magnet clasps happened to be in just the right spot to hit some, apparently, sensative nerves. Since I have been using a chair or zafu, however, I have experienced moments of discomfort due to my posture, but nothing comparable to meditation on my computer bag.
