I watched the videos of Jan Chozen Bays and mindful eating. She really made me think of how I eat. I usually take my plate of food and sit down with my husband on the couch and watch tv while I eat. How appetizing! I noticed that I ate extremely fast. My husband was only half way through eating his dinner and I had already put my plate in the sink to wash. I knew that I had to slow down. Jan Cozen Bays gave homework on her videos to help you eat mindfully and I have tried some of them. She suggests taking four sips of your drink slowly just to see how it would feel. It was difficult at first but I am getting use to now. I plan on making mindful eating a habit so that I can enjoy my food instead wolfing it down and not even know how it tastes. Yum!
